As Dr. Strange releases, we now have all of the comic book movies of the year in theaters. This year, we saw movies that far exceeded the hype machine and some that failed miserably. But which one was the best and which was the worst? We are going to leave the choice up to you! We want for you to go through the list and grade each movie and in a few days, we will have a special podcast ranking this year’s crop of movies based on your selection.
Pluses – Awesome opening sequence, accurate depiction of Colossus, funny movie.
Minuses – Didn’t really need an origin story, Fox still owns the right to the franchise and not Marvel.
Pluses – We finally get to see the DC Trinity in one movie, we get to see if the promise of a Batman vs Superman fight lives up to expectations.
Pluses – A step up from Avengers: Age of Ultron, Black Panther and Spider-man really made this movie worthwhile.
Minuses – Had a big plothole in how Stark’s parents were killed. Marvel Studios killed Crossbones and Baron Zemo could have been a more compelling villain.
Pluses – Viewers get to see a 90s X-men villain fully realized on the big screen.
Minuses – The story and character development was a mess.
Pluses – More humorous but gritty 2nd time around. CGI was excellent.
Minuses – Too much backstory was crammed into one movie distracting viewers
Pluses – Did a decent job of attempting to cash in on what made Deadpool such a good movie. Margot Robbie’s performance of Harley Quinn was memorable.
Minuses – The story was pedestrian, Jared Leto’s Joker performance was divisive, the movie missed many opportunities to develop other characters.
Pluses – Solid performances from cast, visually impressive, worth seeing in 3D.
Minuses – Yet another call of whitewashing divides fans with Tilda Swinton’s performance, generic villain created just for the movie, Strange feels like a mystical version of Tony Stark.
