On Friday August 23rd, 2019 during the D23 Expo, Disney held a panel about their upcoming Disney Plus streaming service. The panel featured everything that Disney was working on for the new service and when it came to Star Wars, it did not disappoint. Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy came out on stage with Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau and they showed off the trailer to the first ever live action Star Wars tv series: The Mandalorian.
Star Wars: The Mandalorian takes place six years after the events of Return of The Jedi and tells the story of a mysterious bounty hunter who wears Mandalorian armor. Throughout the season, the Mandalorian will take on various jobs in a galaxy where the Republic is still being established and the Empire is in turmoil.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal in the titular role, Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Werner Herzog, Nick Nolte and Carl Weathers. The series is set to launch on November 12th, only on Disney Plus.
