Full Details for ‘Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice’

Gamers know From Software as the developer that’s famous for creating the Dark Souls and Bloodbourne games. They’re also known for giving us dynamic combat, deep story, and exceptionally-crafted levels and overall in-game worlds. Now, as announced during the VGAs and shown off during this year’s E3 conference, we’re getting a look at their version of Sengoku-era Japan, in their newest offering: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Ever since we gamers got those teases, many of us have been wondering just when we would be able to get our hands on this gorgeous game.

Well, wonder no more, dear readers. The release date for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has been announced! The title is set to release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 22, 2019. What’s more, we can start pre-ordering the game today! That’s not all, though. Now, if you’re really clamoring for a chance to play this game, and you’re lucky enough to be there, Sekiro will be playable during the Gamescom conference this week (Aug. 21 – Aug. 25)!

The spiritual successor to the Dark Souls series, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will be a slight departure from what From Software has given us in the past. The game will allow for on-the-spot reviving, which the developer’s titles have not allowed in the past. The ability to revive ourselves right where we died is not only going to be a boon for those of us who fall during a difficult battle, but it might also have a tactical advantage as well. Think about being able to respawn right where you died, but also taking enemies by surprise in the process by coming back from the dead as soon as their backs are turned. This could make for a LOT of cool sneak attacks!

Also, did we mention that there’s a Collector’s Edition of the game? No? Well, there certainly is. While it’s not yet available for pre-order, the Collector’s Edition comes with the game itself, a steelbook, collectible book of the game’s art, a map, replica game coins, a digital soundtrack and a 7-inch Shinobi statue. Pretty sweet, for those of us who love the schwag from these special editions.
