Movie Brew: SDCC – Glass Trailer

This. Looks. Amazing.

So, a funny thing happened a few years back. I was flipping channels and came across a movie called Split. I didn’t know what it was about but I was intrigued by what I saw and immediately got drawn down the rabbit hole. It was a genuinely frightening and smart movie, bolstered by a jaw dropping performance by James McAvoy. Imagine my surprise when I realized that it was a M. Night Shyamalan film, a director who had systematically destroyed all my goodwill, one movie at a time, culminating in the disaster that was The Last Airbender.

Imagine my even bigger surprise that it turned out Split was the stealth sequel to Unbreakable, my favorite M. Night movie of all time…

Now, we have Glass, the final (?) film in the trilogy M. Night started all those years ago and, I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m so friggin’ ready fam.

Reuniting Samuel L Jackson and Bruce Willis, friends for literally decades who are honestly never better onscreen than when they’re together, and joined by James McAvoy, this film looks to be what would happen if the Legion of Doom became real and that?

Is terrifying.

Yea, I think he might get back on track with this movie. The Six Sense and a few of his early movies were dope. Plus, I’ll always be a fan of connected universes. Maybe I’m just spoiled by Marvel…
