Bloodshot’s road to salvation continues in Bloodshot: Salvation #10, which sees Bloodshot and Bloodhound in the year 4001. For those of you unfamiliar with the year 4001, it’s a big point of history in the Valiant Universe. The Earth is in ruin and most major cities are flying high above the surface. Bloodshot is fighting for what makes him human in his wife and his daughter. They are his last shot at salvation…..What secrets does the year 4001 hold?

When it comes to comic writing, Jeff Lemire is a superstar and is still the perfect choice for Bloodshot and his world. He has such a grasp of the character and delivers such an emotional and dramatic story. This will go down as one of the best runs in modern comics. He takes an established timeline and does something new with it by flipping it on its head in multiples twists and turns.

The artwork by Doug Braithwaite is beautiful and haunting. While reading the book I couldn’t help but feel the despair and desolation of the landscape and the situations that Bloodshot and Bloodhound encounter. The action sequences are gorgeous. When it comes to colors and details, they are spot on. I can’t say enough about the art. You can see the hardships that Bloodshot has endured and it weighs on him. It’s simply just beautiful.

As I stated earlier, this will go down as one of the best runs in comics and this creative team proves it.

5 Bloodshots out of 5.
