Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games and The LEGO Group Announce Long-Awaited Star Wars Expansion for LEGO® DIMENSIONS
BURBANK, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games and The LEGO® Group today announced the expansion of LEGO® DIMENSIONS, the LEGO toy and videogame hybrid, with its first Star Wars fun pack and the promise of more to come. Star Wars has long been a part of both the LEGO® toy line and the LEGO® games by TT Games, but this marks the first time that Star Wars will be added to the DIMENSIONS lineup, allowing characters from the franchise to interact with DC Comics, Lord of the Rings, Adventure Time, and more.
All Star Wars expansion packs provide players with continued compatibility to use everything from waves 1-9 interchangeably, anywhere throughout the game. And no new starter pack is required, as all new packs will simply enhance the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack game and work with the existing LEGO Toy Pad.

“Last year’s LEGO DIMENSIONS expansions took the game to new worlds and new horizons, giving players countless hours of additional fun,” said Bob Clift, Design Director, TT Games. “Now we’re bringing the mother of all add-ons to the game, and fans won’t want to miss out. There will be so many additions to the Star Wars universe from across the multi-film saga that players won’t know when to stop.”
LEGO DIMENSIONS’ first addition to the Star Wars universe is the U-3PO level pack, which includes a GNK Droid as a vehicle and a Moisture Vaporator as an accessory, both of which will be rebuildable into additional vehicles and transports. Instead of doing a traditional replay of the Star Wars Saga, U-3PO opens up a retelling of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope with a droid who survived the assault on the Tantive IV. “U-3PO didn’t get to do anything interesting in the movie,” said Clift, “so we’re telling this whole alternate story. You get to flee Tatooine and roam around looking for stuff.”
U-3PO has the unique “calculate the odds” ability which allows him to encounter any situation in the game and determine the odds of survival. Players can climb aboard the GNK Droid and explore Tatooine at a remarkably slow pace, and rebuild the droid into a box and a different box. Lastly, players will be able to build the Moisture Vaporator, which allows them to collect small quantities of water from Tatooine’s harsh atmosphere and repackage it for consumption by the local Jawas. The Vaporator can be rebuilt into a Power Converter and a Hydrospanner for hours of additional fun.
Developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, LEGO DIMENSIONS is now available for PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment systems, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and the Wii U™ system.

About Star Wars
Star Wars is a multi-million dollar franchise conceived out of the brain of George Lucas when he fell asleep on the couch while watching old Flash Gordon serials. Consuming your wallet since 1977, Star Wars is months away from launching the eighth feature film in its ongoing saga, plus there was that Rogue One thing which was a stealth tie-in to the fourth movie, which was actually the first. Also, there was an animated Clone Wars movie which didn’t have Hayden Christensen but did have Samuel L. Jackson. Go figure. Anyway, you’ll continue to throw money at Star Wars, because you love it like a junkie.

Funny April Fools!! Made me laugh 😀
