5 fool proof ways to make The Lion King remake even better

Earlier this week, it was announced that Jon Favreau wants to do a live action remake of The Lion King movie.

The 1994 movie has made close to a billion dollars, won countless awards including 2 Oscars and is the third longest running play on Broadway.

No release date has yet been set and this news has been a cause for concern among audiences.   Many are wondering what was so wrong with the original that prompts a ‘reimagining’ (as Disney wants to call it).   The upside, if there is one, is that The Jungle Book did very well this year with its live action remake and its success is what’s prompting this move.

To be perfectly honest, one of the very few things that could pull audiences in would be if there was a better representation of people of color in the cast especially for Simba’s and Scar’s voice. But looking past that, there are at least 5 ways Favreau can make The Lion King better.

Here they are:

  1. Don’t make it
  2. Find an original movie to do
  3. Gather a team to remake Iron Man 3 because it was terrible
  4. Go re-master The Lion King Blu-ray (oh wait, that’s already been done!)
  5. JUST DON’T EFFING REMAKE A MOVIE THAT DOESN’T NEED REMAKING!!! AARRRGGGHHH!!!!

So, do you have any other ideas of how Jon Favreau can make Lion King better? Please list in the comments below.
