RIP David Bowie (1947-2016)
David Bowie died at home on January 10th, after an 18-month battle with cancer. This news at first was deemed a hoax but was confirmed by official spokesmen and by his son, director Duncan Jones. He was 69.
Bowie’s musical career spanned several decades, from his eponymous first album in 1967 to 1969’s Space Oddity to his latest studio album, 2016’s Blackstar. His career extended unto the silver screen such movies as The Hunger, The Man Who Fell To Earth, and The Prestige. He was best known to American audiences for his portrayal of Jareth the King of Goblins in Labyrinth.
He leaves behind wife Iman, son Duncan Jones, and daughter Alexandria “Lexi” Zahra Jones.
Godspeed Major Tom…
