Gaming Brew – Cyberpunk 2077: Cinematic Trailer
CD Projekt Red never fails to impress. Having worked my way up to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, I’ve gotten to see the evolution of their work over nearly ten years. As a result, it’s hard not to watch with anticipation as to how Cyberpunk 2077 would come out, and what we’ve seen so far hasn’t disappointed in terms of gameplay. But so far we’ve seen precious little of the story.
The trailer (presented by Keanu Reeves no less) gives a brief glimpse into that with (seen for the first time) the male version of the lead character V trying to collect money from a botched theft and being betrayed in turn. This leads to V awakening in a junkyard after being shut down and being recruited to burn the city down by Keanu Reeves in all his digital glory.
We also now finally have a hard release date for Cyberpunk 2077. April 16, 2020. I for one am more pumped than ever for this title, and it looks like CDPR is going all the way with the new collector’s editions listed on their website. Only ten more months until we get to play out all of our craziest trans-humanist ideas.
