It’s been a while since Marvel’s Spider-Man was announced for the PS4, and gamers have anxiously been awaiting news about its upcoming release. Well, wait no more! Playstation has just announced the game’s release date in a new YouTube video.

As is the norm for hotly anticipated games, there are also some pre-order bonuses. Those who pre-order the game will receive:

• The Spidey Suit Pack, consisting of 3 suits for Ol’ Webhead.
• A Spider Drone Gadget
• The Spider-Man PS4 avatar
• A special Spider-Man theme for the PS4
• 5 extra Skill Points to help upgrade Spidey in-game.

Insomniac Games, the developers of Marvel’s Spider-Man have also given us a bit of a hint as to what the story will hold. Art Director Jacinda Chew is quoted as saying,

One of the most compelling things about Spider-Man is just when Peter Parker and Spider-Man’s worlds collide, and we’ve tried really hard to weave the two stories together to create a story that is not necessarily just a superhero story but a human story as well.

We’ve even been given a behind-the-scenes look at the game’s development, which really serves to hype a lot of us gamers up even more.

Marvel’s Spider-Man is set to hit the PS4 and PS4 Pro on September 7^th, 2018.
