Facebook Fan Page

What do you do when you are not cosplaying? When I’m not cosplaying, and not working, I’m usually cooped up in the house playing video games, reading comic books, watching Netflix, martial arts, working out, and hanging with close friends.

What is the best advice you would give someone new to cosplaying? My best advice to people new to cosplaying is to not be afraid to jump right in, regardless of your level of skill. Whatever you don’t know how to do, you’ll eventually master if you put in the effort. Youtube tutorials are your best friend and there are no shortage of people in our community who will be more than happy to share what they know with you, including myself. But most importantly, have fun and express yourself to the fullest! This is your chance to be who you truly are as well as who you’ve always wanted to be. We accept who you are as well as your many alter egos so go wild. The sky is the absolute limit!
Why do you feel that #28DaysofBlackCosplay is important? #28DaysOfBlackCosplay is important because representation is important – our representation. If the world won’t represent us, we’ll do it ourselves. We’ll be the inspiration for other black nerds, and black people in general, and they’ll do the same for others. We are and always have been a complex and divergent people and we will no longer adhere to society’s preconceived notion of what ‘being Black’ consists of. Time to show the world what we’re all about. We lit! 😉
