At noon today, the Wonder Woman Facebook page lit up with the premiere of the movie’s official trailer.

In what looks to be an action-packed entry for the titular Amazon into the DCU, the trailer gives a bit of exposition as to how & why Diana becomes swept up in World War I (i.e. “The War to End All Wars”). Gal Gadot looks like a complete bad-ass in the role, and the acrobatic fighting, amazing effects, and gritty scenery really set the excitement level high for this film.

What really got us, was the great usage of Wonder Woman’s tools of her “trade”. The Amazon warrior brilliantly makes full use of her bullet-deflecting bracelets, and her ever-present Lasso of Truth. Regarding the latter, it remains to be seen whether it will be used to get confessions out of villains in the film.

With almost half a million views (on Facebook alone) only 40 minutes after its release, this trailer has definitely hyped up audiences for the DCU’s newest entry. Are you as excited as we are, dear readers? Let us know in the comments!
