The ‘Dishonored 2’ live action trailer focuses on new powers.

Last month, we brought you some of the first info on the upcoming game, Dishonored 2. Well, in case you missed it, a live-action trailer was just released, which featured a bit more of a look at the powers wielded by Emily (our new protagonist).

Taking place 15 years after the events of the original game, Bethesda’s new chapter in the Dishonored saga has players assuming the role of Emily Kaldwin, the same young girl whom you helped take her place on the throne of Dunwall (depending on how you played the game). After being suddenly dethroned by a crazed witch named Delilah, however, Emily must fight to take back her city & keep it prospering. One of the coolest parts of Dishonored 2, however, is that the game will let players control both Emily and the assassin Corvo (our original hero), as they travel from the cramped streets of Dunwall to a crumbling yet grand coastal city in Karnaca, which takes inspiration from cities like Barcelona, Spain in its conceptual design.

The live action trailer for the game takes a look at this beautifully rendered architecture, as well as shows off some of Emily’s intense & powerful new abilities. One of the coolest (and creepiest) being Emily’s “Shadow Walk” – an ability that lets her traverse short distances while being completely undetected by her enemies.

Fans of stealthy assassin skills & grand steampunk aesthetics are definitely in for a visual and experiential treat with Dishonored 2. The game is scheduled for release on November 11th, for PS4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
