The #Nindies Summer Jam puts the attention on indie games in September

Indie gaming fans!  Keep your eyes peeled this September, as Nintendo will be spotlighting independent games for an entire month, by continuing the #Nindies Summer Jam promotion, which will be going on in the Nintendo eShop.

Nintendo will be releasing hit independent games every Thursday in the month of September (beginning on September 1st, and running all the way through September 30th), and is promising some pretty impressive names.

For the first week, Axiom Verge, and retro-feeling action platformer from Thomas Happ Games will be spotlighted, while the week of September 8th will showcase the incredible hand-drawn game, Jotun: Valhalla Edition, which is based in Norse mythology. The week after that (September 15th), Noitu Love: Devolution will make its debut appearance.  This is a game that Engadget stated, “could be one of the best indie titles of the year”.  Then, during the week of September 22nd, you can grab Severed; a first-person slasher in the vein of Fruit Ninja, but with a decidedly creepy vibe, while Azure Striker GUNVOLT 2, a Nintendo DS exclusive, rounds out the month during the week of September 30th.

It’s also worth noting that, for the first week of launch, each title will debut at a discount of 10% off its original price.  The Nintendo eShop will also have video clips from the developers of each game, for those who are interested in learning more about them.
