Those of a certain age have a fond memory of the Decpeticon Transformer Soundwave as the transforming tape deck with the awesome tape accessories (Rumble, Laserbeak, Ratbat, etc.). The recent Transformers line of movies saw him transformed into a satellite communications system with little fanfare. Now through a partnership with leading Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi, Soundwave has been transformed again into an tablet. The new design of everyone’s second favorite decepticon (after Megatron of course) is a mirror of Xiaomi’s popular Mi Pad 2. Its really awesome to see our favorite toys updated the right way.
