Square Enix kicked off their showcase rather…dry.  I was expecting a little more excitement.  I definitely wasn’t impressed with the translator.  At one point, I think he forgot he was a translator.  At some point, I’m going to have to learn Japanese.  Was it just me or was the crowd a little….dead besides the guy that was overly excited about Kingdom Hearts.

Just Cause 3

This is an open world action game featuring over 400 square miles of complete freedom.   You gt to move around from the air to the seabed.  Just Cause 3 takes place in the Mediterranean island of Medici. Your character (Rico) will have to ability to deploy multiple grappling tethers to cause structures to fall. Unlimited C4?  This is the Mythbuster’s dream.  It sounds like you are going to need a lot of C4 in this game.  The Wing suit was added to the game but I think they got the design slightly wrong.  Last time I checked there was suppose to be a web between the legs as well.  I’m just saying.  The grapple hook was upgraded to give you more range to reach high areas and can be used anywhere throughout the game.  Just Cause 3 promises to have tons of weapons and gadgets.  I have to admit the trailer looks amazing. I just hope the game has amazing graphics during game play. Just Cause 3 will be launched December 1 on Xbox One, PC, and PS4.  Bring on the explosions!

A New Nier Project

This project is still in early development. There will be more information to follow in the fall. The title is still a secret but, I’m going to be looking more into this as news develops. It will only be available on PS4.  It looks interesting.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Laura Croft is back in another action packed Tomb Raider game. I could never grow tired of this game.  It seems they took their time in developing the game making sure to capture every last detail down to the scratch marks on Lara’s arm.  It’s amazing how the Tomb Raider series has evolved over time. You will have the ability to create new items from materials that you gather from the plants and animals in the game.  Stealth and sneak attacks have been added to the options for combat.  The game is set to release November 10, 2015 on Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Lara Croft Go

Lara Croft Go is a puzzle adventure game that is following in the footsteps of Hitman Go.  You still move through caves and ruins solving puzzles to get to the next stage.  This game will be available on phones and tablets.  No actual release date was given. I guess some folks will need to make space on their mobile devices and tablets.

Final Fantasy VII

HELL YEAH!!! This was my favorite RPG out of all the Final Fantasy games. So I’m super excited about this title FINALLY coming to PS4 this winter.  There is no word on when it will be released on other platforms.   This has been a long time coming…18 Years long.  This remake will be well worth the wait.

Kingdom Hearts 3

The game will be available on Xbox One and PS4. I never really got into the previous games but this one looks right up my alley.  It has all my favorite Disney characters.   Kingdom Hearts 3 will be available only on Xbox One and PS4.  There is currently no release date for Kingdom Hearts 3 as the game is still in development.

World of Final Fantasy

This game promises to be playable for all ages and genders giving you a new experience within the Final Fantasy world.  I wonder if my 90 year old grandmother would enjoy playing this game?  This game will be available on PS4 and PS Vita. The game is set to release in 2016.  Now I have a reason to play my Vita again.

Hitman: A World of Assassination

Travel the world with new missions and new targets. Mark your own targets and share those targets with your friends. This game will forever evolve, adding new locations, different missions and hits.  As your skills advance so will or options.  The game will be available on digital release December 8 on PS4, Xbox One and  Steam.  The game is available for pre-order.

Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithfulness

The game is still under development. Coming in 2016.  More to come as the game develops.  So far I like what I see.  I will be watching this closely.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Takes place in the year 2029. Your character has been altered to have mechanical weapons coming from all parts of his body.  This reminds me of some of the characters from the X-Men, mainly Wolverine.  Yes, they made mention of the Illuminati.   You can now pre-order the game. The game is set to release in 2016 on PC, PS4. And Xbox One.  I will be following this one closely as it gets near the release date.
