Along with the Apple Watch Announcement, here is what we learned from the Apple Keynote today

Well it’s that time of the year, Apple gives us the news about what we can expect in the new Macbook line up and a few other expected announcements.  However, if you want to get the condensed version, stay here and read on.   1. The marketing Machine that is Apple continues. 40 new stores are expected to open in china by the end of the year
  2. HBO Now (not Go) will be exclusive to Apple TV for `14.99 per month starting in April. The price of Apple TV will also drop to $69.
  3. Apple Pay is now supported by 2,500 banks and 700000 locations (retailers vending machines etc) that are capable of accepting it.apptv
  4. The first five apps for the ResearchKit (available next month) will be released today to medical researchers.
  5. The New Macbooks will be 24% less thick than previous models. The “Air” moniker has disappeared. Each Key for the new MacBooks have individual LEDs per key to light up in the dark and has a resolution of 2304×1440. It also will contain 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. and 265GB SSD.     1. The Apple Watch has been announced. It has many displays including a Mickey Mouse face in case you like it classic. It can do so many things including check your heart rate, get messages, and receive calls a ’la Dick Tracy. Digital Touch allows connectivity between your watch and friends’ watches to exchange information. The watch is very fitness oriented and can sync with your iPhone and also Siri capable.
    2. A few apps developed for the Apple Watch are: WeChat, ApplePay of course, Instagram, Uber, and Shazam.
    3. Battery life is estimated to be at 18 hours for the Apple Watch and will charge with a magnetic connector.
    4. If you have, you can use your Apple Watch to open you garage door and view a video feed of your home.
    5. Price points will be: Apple Watch Sport: $349 and up to $399 (kind of high huh?), Apple Watch Collection $549 and up depending on the band, and available on April 24th, 2015. Per-Orders begin on April 10, 2015. …by the way, no applause for the price points.
