His House is emotionally devastating and terrifying.

I don’t watch a lot of horror but oh my lord, I loved this movie so damn much. It explores so many harsh and uncomfortable themes and truths while also being a terrifying movie, a commentary on the guilt of looking after yourself while leaving those you love behind and so much more.

Starring my beloved Wunmi Mosaku, Sope Dirisu and Matt Smith the film is genuinely frightening and nuanced with the “entity” standing for more than just a spooky spirit. The film is so well written and the guilt and desperation of these characters is absolutely devastating plus we get yet another amazing performance from Wunmi as Rial!
