Ryan Coogler’s debut film remains chillingly relevant 10 years later…

Based on the real life events of Oscar Grant III‘s murder, Fruitvale Station, is exactly like Schindler’s List in that I think it is an incredible movie that every living person should see. I own a copy.

And parts of me never want to watch it ever again.



Not a single performance misses, not one moment is wasted. Front to back, top to bottom, Fruitvale Station is a perfectly crafted story about a horrific thing that we must acknowledge is real, happens all too often and is indicative of a larger truth that too many continue to ignore or sweep under the rug instead of actually confronting it.
