What made you decide to cosplay?
Inspiring others and being someone kids can look up to. Especially as a woman of color. The sparkly eyed smiles I bring to kids by cosplaying a character or fandom they love. That is my favorite; being an inspiration to them is its own reward.
What do you do for your day job or hobbies?
When I’m not cosplaying I’m hanging out and working on set as an actress, or I’m preparing for my next dance performance . I am a Kaigai Idol and I formed an idol group called Hyper Angels.

Which of your cosplays have been the most challenging and/or the most rewarding and why?
My favorite cosplay also provided the biggest challenge. It’s an Identity V Sanrio crossover. The dress comes with a hoop skirt that I had to assemble took two hours just to do that. Another one which I say is my hardest to do is my Raiden shogun. It’s one of the first cosplays I brought back in 2023 on Aliexpress. Genshin Impact was less known back then so the costumes available were of low quality. I’ve had to personally sew and alter the top to fit me. Cut and alter the knee highs and shorts. I’ve spent days fixing it to be wearable. My overall biggest cosplay challenge is being tall. When I order a cosplay I have to get a size or two larger then my size or else it will be too short. This is also why I don’t have many cosplays with pants.
What is the best advice you would give to other cosplayers of color specifically?
To other cosplayers of color I want to say: be true, be you! Be any character you dream to be. Showcase your skills and hobbies. Do what you love always. You can always follow your dreams no matter your race, age, color of skin or disability. Never forget to do things for yourself. You can be your biggest fan or your biggest enemy.
What one thing could the cosplay community do better when dealing with one another?
Something I know that the cosplay community can do better to remember is that we are all people. One and the same. No one should be better then another person or above another person.
