[Social Media Pages]
Instagram, Bluesky, and X as Miss Lore Author
Who or what inspired you to cosplay?
It’s a mix between friends and wanting to fulfill childhood wishes.
What do you do when you aren’t cosplaying (day job/hobbies)?
Substitute teaching, handling my Etsy shop, and writing/illustrated my own books.
What costumes have provided the biggest challenges/rewards so far and why?
I would have to say making Sailor Moon’s princess dress was the challenging one because I never fully upcycled a dress into a costume before. There was trial and error especially with the limited amount of supplies I had. It was a toughie, but I found a way to use my supplies and got a chance to live out my wish.
What is the best advice you would give to other cosplayers of color?
The best advice I can give is be proud of how God created you and embrace who you are. You don’t have to look exactly like certain characters. Just make the characters the way you think they’ll fit you.
What one thing could the cosplay community do better when relating to one another?
They should show kindness and respect especially if their cosplays are different than traditional cosplay.
