How long have you been cosplaying?
I’ve been cosplaying for over 20 years. I’m “the guy in the suits” at cons; that’s what I’m remembered for.
What characters have you cosplayed the most?
The character I have been cosplaying the most is Mario from Super Mario Bros, I would say, different versions and variations of him.

1. What made you decide to cosplay?
What inspires me as a cosplayer: seeing people reacting to your vision as a cosplayer and how it gives them some joy or excitement .
2. What do you do for your day job or hobbies?
My day job is working with mentally challenged children and young adults , and MCing events like parties, weddings, and cons.
My hobbies are watching anime, gaming, collecting action figures, movies of all types and documentaries.

3. Which of your cosplays have been the most challenging and/or the most rewarding and why?
The biggest challenge I had was performing as a street dancer inside a Frosty the Snowman costume at a NYC holiday event for 4 hours. Balancing dancing as Frosty with getting in and out of the suit and dancing as I normally would was definitely taxing on the body; the suit was very hot. For the most part, I rose to the challenge and conquered the night .
4. What is the best advice you would give to other cosplayers of color specifically?
My advice to cosplayers of color: don’t let anyone get you down about doing what you love.
5. What one thing could the cosplay community do better when dealing with one another?
As a cosplaying community, we have to stand together and stop attacking everyone because we disagree with the choice of characters we decide to dress up as. Always try to support each other any way you can. We need emotional support, too.
