Malcolm, the world’s oldest 3 Year Old, reviews Paw Patrol|The Mighty Movie
Christelle: Well Malcolm, what movie did we just see?
Malcolm: The Paw Patrol Movie!
Christelle: Well what happened in Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie?
Malcolm ::sighing with the souls of a thousand old men:: It’s a long story.
Christelle: What do you remember?
Malcolm ::sighs, somehow even more put upon::
Christelle: Did you like it?
Malcolm: I liked Skye flying…
Christelle: So, what happened in the movie?
Malcolm: They saved people!
Christelle: Did they get super-powers?
Malcolm: Yes!
Christelle: Who’s super-power did you like the most?
Malcolm: Rocky and Skye!
Christelle: What was your favorite part of the movie?
Malcolm: I’m not sure…
Christelle: I couldn’t believe Mayor Humdinger was there!
Malcolm: He’s a bad guy! He’s supposed to be there though!
Christelle: Oh, he’s supposed to be there so the Paw Patrol can beat him?
Malcolm: Yup.
Christelle: Yeah, that makes sense. Well, did you like the movie?
Malcolm: Yeah, sure!
Christelle: Do you think you would watch it again?
Malcolm: Yeah, I think so.
Christelle: So, we should definitely watch it again when it’s available at home?
Malcolm: Yeah, we can watch it together again!
Christelle: Did you think the movie was very long or not long enough?
Malcolm: Not long enough!
Christelle: You wanted to watch more of the movie? But, you said you wanted to leave!
Malcolm: It was really loud.
Christelle: Ohh, there were a lot of loud sounds in the middle of the movie?
Malcolm: Yeah.
Christelle: Yeah, it was really loud when they were fighting. So, maybe we should share with everyone that it’s really loud at certain points?
Malcolm: Yeah, really, really loud.
Christelle: Is there anything else you want to say about the movie?
Malcolm: No, that’s all I know!
Christelle: That’s awesome. Thank you for talking with me!
Malcolm: You’re welcome!
Christelle, Mom Extraordinaire, reviews Paw Patrol|The Mighty Movie
To be honest I wasn’t sure if he really enjoyed it since he wanted to leave half-way through but I now know it’s because it was so loud at points but he really liked the Skye character, her flying and her pink outfit
I’m also not entirely sure this movie needed to be so long, but I’m clearly not three, LOL. I fell asleep at one point but the children around me liked it a lot. The plot was just too complicated for a children’s movie because there were multiple storylines and the loud explosions and everything was a bit much for a sensory baby like Malcolm. Great for kids who need constant stimulation but if your child gets sensory overload this, on the big screen, may not be for them. Also, not enough songs, just really long winded dialogue/exposition that could have been made into songs and would have been easier to digest.
Overall, it was cute and Malcolm liked it but I don’t know if I’d take him to see it in the theater again.
