1. What made you decide to cosplay?
Growing up, Halloween was my favorite holiday, dressing up is the best. Going to conventions I’ve always wanted to cosplay, but was afraid people would judge me for it. Due to my skin tone and body shape, I didn’t believe I fit the physical attributes of the characters I wanted to cosplay, but now I have fully stepped into my own and I care more about doing what I believe defines me and what makes me truly happy.

2. What do you do for your day job or hobbies?
I am an IT Project Manager for my 9 to 5. I also breed ball pythons. I love to craft and read books.

3. Which of your cosplays have been the most challenging and/or the most rewarding and why?
Ursula. I am horrible at makeup and I spent hours trying to get the perfect eyebrows for her look. This cosplay was the most rewarding because I was asked to do 2 events . One with ORS Hair Care product for their Halloween customer appreciation event and the other was a Halloween Harvest Fest for the community to take pic with the kiddos.

4. What is the best advice you would give to other cosplayers of color specifically?
Be like Nike and Just do it.

5. What one thing could the cosplay community do better when dealing with one another?
Less internal Drama
