First name and last initial:
Everyone just calls me Swaggy
Where are you from originally or reside currently?
Born in a country called Cameroon, but currently reside in Cleveland Ohio
How long have you been cosplaying?
This would be my 4th year

Social Media Pages
What do you do when you aren’t cosplaying (day job/hobbies)?
I coach soccer and try to stay physically active in the gym; I also work in a hospital laboratory as a medical technologist.
Who or what inspired you to cosplay?
I’ve been a nerd my whole life, went to my first convention in 2016 and saw everyone all dressed up and thought to myself “I can do this!”
What costumes have provided the biggest challenges/rewards so far and why?
My BlackWarGreymon cosplay, only because I had to figure out how to build it to look like the character, but have mobility and freedom in the armor
What is the best advice you would give to other cosplayers of color?
Keep doing what you do, it doesn’t matter what anyone says about the color of your skin, they can’t stop you from looking good in your skin
What one thing could the cosplay community do better when relating to one another?
They can take the time to understand one another, that’s one of the biggest issues here…some people just don’t take the time to understand another person’s feelings and life struggles, so a lot of misunderstanding towards each other occurs and people miss out on meeting another great individual
