What inspired you to start cosplaying? I started cosplaying because I love comics and cons. I finally got my Blade cosplay together in 2005 and cosplayed for the first time at Baltimore Comic Con that year.

What do you do when you are not cosplaying? When I’m not cosplaying I spend time with my wife and four kids. We love the movies and hiking. I also enjoy going to the gym and sketching.

Why do you feel that #28DaysofBlackCosplay is important? #28DaysofBlackCosplay is important to give Black cosplayers an audience. People of color are often times left out when it comes to the cosplay community. It’s time to change that.

What is one thing the PoC cosplay community can do better when it comes to dealing with each other as well as non PoCs? What the PoC community can do better is be more supportive. No matter your skill level, support one another and help one another. Be more open-minded also when dealing with non PoC’s. This will improve relations across the board.
