Full Metal Alchemist: 3rd Trailer and Visuals Released

Warner Bros. Japan, as well as the official website, posted a 60-second third trailer for the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa’s Hagane no Renkinjutsushi, or as westerners commonly refer to it as Fullmetal Alchemist. With the release of this new trailer, we get a glimpse of some of our fan favorites in full costume for the first time including, Tsubasa Honda as the main heroine Winry Rockbell, Ryûta Satô as the lovable Maes Hughes, and Dean Fujioka as the flame alchemist who’s been through hell and back: Roy Mustang.

With these characters, there are also glimpses of the villains as well, and finding my curiosity satisfied when getting a glimpse of gluttony, played by Shinji Uchiyama. For the music nerds out there, we’ll be seeing a familiar face. The protagonist Edward Elric, is played by 23-year-old Ryosuke Yamada, a member of Japanese idol group Hey! Say! JUMP. The trailer was first screened at the official fan event held at the Shinjuku Piccadilly theater in Tokyo on July 12th, and now it is released for everyone else’s enjoyment. The date is set for December 1st, 2017 in Japan.
