According to movie critics, there will be no surprises during tonight’s 89^th Academy Awards. The predictions from of 5 different newspapers, websites and entertainment magazines are as follows:

The only nominated film I have seen is Hidden Figures, however the buzz has completely dismissed this film. Belle, a fellow Pop Culture Uncovered writer, found La La Land to be boring and nothing more than a homage to Hollywood, a type of film insiders love. Her choice for Best Picture of the year, Loving, was not nominated. Of the nominated films, her choice would be Moonlight, which is a comment I’ve read several times.
