I prefer the more tragic story of Matt Hagen rather than the more sinister Basil Karlo origins. Cosplaying the character has been special to me because he's not the textbook definition of evil (like some of Bats' other rogues) but rather a multi-tiered, deeply layered tragic figure attempting to find his place in the world...who occasionally causes mass destruction and bodily harm to others. Can't get more fun than that!
