Call of Duty star Phillip “PHiZZURP” Klemenov has passed away at the age of 23. His death was announced by his longtime girlfriend via her Twitter page.

Alcohol and excessive speed are considered factors in the accident, which happened in Aurora, Colorado on the 9900 Block of East Florida Avenue just after 2:30 a.m.

“The preliminary investigation shows a black Infinity was eastbound on Florida when it lost control and rolled several times ending up on the sidewalk to the north of East Florida Avenue. The car hit several trees and a light pole in the process. An adult male passenger was pronounced dead at the scene,” police said in a statement.

Klemenov’s team, H2K, made a statement on their Facebook page

“Today we lost a beloved H2K family member. Phillip “Phizzurp” Klemenov passed away earlier today. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and all of those who were lucky enough to have him in their lives.

Rest in peace Phil, we will always miss you.”
