All 600 “Simpsons” Episodes to Air In a 300-Hour FXX Marathon
Ay carumba! 600 episodes! All in order, all in one brutal marathon.
So…I can set my TiVo and get the entire series for free?
This is a truly astonishing feat. I’ve heard of epic marathons from all Harry Potter movies, to all James Bond films, and even entire shows. The Simpsons, however, is the longest-running TV show ever made.
According to Time, The marathon will run for 300 hours on FXX (not Fox, the regular broadcaster). Let’s see, 300 divided by 24-hour days, is…12.5 days straight. More specifically, from noon on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 24th) through Dec. 6th. That should make a dent in Black Friday’s materialistic shenanigans!
For some fans, the show has gone on too long already (the show premiers its 28th season on Sep. 25th.) However, it still remains a comic staple, occupying the rare safe space between children’s shows and the how-much-can-we-get-away-with adult animated programs.
The Simpsons will air its 600th episode on Oct. 9th as “Treehouse of Horror XXVII,” the recurring Halloween special.
Dear readers, do you dare to watch the marathon to end all marathons? Do you still watch The Simpsons? What Simpsons episode is your favorite and why?

WHY do I not have a DVR????
