‘Injustice: Gods Among Us 2’ May Be On the Horizon
Developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, April 2013’s Injustice: Gods Among Us saw Superman become a totalitarian dictator after being tricked by The Joker into killing Lois Lane & their unborn child. With sanity becoming Superman’s new kryptonite, Batman assembles a team of the most powerful superheroes – some from alternate DC Comics universes – in an attempt to bring down the High Councillor’s (aka Crazy-Meanie Supes) regime. Aside from Superman & Batman, the game featured such iconic characters as Cyborg, The Flash, Harley Quinn, Nightwing, Solomon Grundy, Wonder Woman, and more.
Injustice: Gods Among Us sold 424,000 copies in its first month, and ultimately received “Best Fighting Game of the Year” awards from GameTrailers, Game Informer, IGN, and VGX.
Now, we are hearing from French gaming site Gameblog.fr that the long-rumored sequel to the wildly popular title is in development, and that formal details will be announced soon. Their source has claimed that the official reveal for ‘Injustice: Gods Among Us 2’ would either happen in the next couple of days, or just before this year’s E3 conference (which starts on June 14th).

No details on the plot or character roster have been released yet, but the game is rumored to have a release month of March 2017, it will run on the same engine as NetherRealm’s Mortal Kombat X, and it will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

More Injustice? Don’t mind if I do.
