Winter has finally come as Game of Thrones makes its dramatic return! Now we can finally find out the answer to the question on every fan’s mind: “Is Jon Snow really dead?” I know, personally, I was ready to end my tumultuous relationship with this show after that finale, yet seeing the premiere trailer renewed my excitement. So, will I stay on? Will those dragons do something? And seriously is Jon Snow really dead? Find out all those answers below.

A cold and bitter Snow:

With the demise of Jon Snow and Stannis Baratheon, Davos and the few Watchmen loyal to Snow are left alone to protect his body. With most of the Watch considering Jon a traitor, Davos knows it’s just a matter of time before they break down the doors to get it. The worst thing is their only hope could be Melisandre the Red Woman but she seems to have lost all hope and is ready to waste away. Not to mention the White Walkers are still preparing to invade.

Those Stark girls are as different as Night and Day:

Poor Arya, after killing a man she lost her sight and is now panhandling. She looked pitiful until you realize she is still in training.  In a remake of the worst Daredevil training sequence ever, Arya is beaten in a one sided bo-staff fight by her female rival. As Arya is living the “good life”, older sister Sansa and Theon Greyjoy are still running from the Boltons. As the soldiers close in on them, they are saved by Brienne and Podrick and this time Sansa makes the oath taking Brienne her knight. Things are finally taking a turn for the better for at least one Stark girl.

No wrath like a Dorne woman scorned:

If killing Myrcella Baratheon wasn’t enough,  Ellaria Sand kills Prince Doran and his son, taking over Dorne for herself with the backing of the people.  Meanwhile, in King’s Landing Cersei is broken after seeing her daughter’s body and her imprisonment followed by her walk of Shame. Fortunately, Jamie is there to keep her together, as war is on the horizon.

Oh those Khals and their Khaleesi:

After that daring ride in the season finale, Daenerys Targaryen has been captured by a horde of Dothraki. While Daenerys is gone Tyrion and Varys are looking after her city, and things are not looking good. Daenerys has been taken to a Dothraki camp and faced with Khal Toro, but once he learns that she was Khal Drogo’s wife, Daenerys falls under his protection until she is taken to the temple where the other former Khaleesis are to mourn their Khals forever.

Did Game of Thrones produce this episode? Yes, it gave enough of each story to make sure we come back next week like the addicts we are. For the Game of Thrones premiere I give it 4 White Walkers out 5.
