1. Who or what inspired you to cosplay?  

Cissa was inspired at her first anime convention; Anime Festival Wichita, when she was in middle school, and a few years later she took Sophii to A-Kon in Dallas, TX and showed her the world of cosplay!

2. What do you do when you aren’t cosplaying?

Sophii works in social media marketing and Cissa is a barista at Starbucks, both cosplayers are students.

3. What costumes have provided the biggest challenge and rewards so far and why?  

Warrior Pikachu and Raichu.  It was our first time making cosplays that were entirely foam, and it was definitely a learning experience, but the outcome was absolutely worth all the time and effort!

4. What is the best advice you would give someone new to cosplaying?

JUST DO IT! Seriously, there are so many reasons ‘not to cosplay’, but there are way more reasons TO do it! It’s a blast and the communities are amazing, you make lifelong friends!

5. What is one thing the cosplay community can do better when it comes to dealing with each other?

 Understand that cosplay means something different to everyone. We have to accept that cosplay is an art, and with that comes diversity, and that’s a great thing!
