The trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has dropped, and by the look of things this is a different look of the Star Wars we know and love. Directed by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla, Monsters), Rogue One is the first of several planned spin-off movies,and of course this one takes place before the original films.

Note:  This has NOTHING to do with the Bothan spies as mentioned in Return of the Jedi.  This has ALL to do with how the Rebel acquired the plans for the first Death Star.

Felicity Jones is the central character of this trailer.

We also see the Death Star being constructed and lots of action scences as well.  Forrest Whitaker makes an appearance as a yet untitled character.  We were promised that this movie was going to be very gritty and violent and from what I have seen so far, this may fit the bill.
