TV Talk: Lifetime Movie Network Names Laura Fleury Senior VP Of Development & Programming

 

A+E NETWORKS® ELEVATES LAURA FLEURY TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT,

DEVELOPMENT & PROGRAMMING, LMN®

NEW YORK, September 8, 2015 – A+E Networks has promoted Laura Fleury to the post of Senior Vice President, Development & Programming for LMN.  It was announced today by Jana Bennett, President of FYI and LMN.  Fleury will continue to report to Bennett in her new position.

 “Laura is a skilled executive who has already built an impressive track record of significant accomplishments at LMN,” said Bennett. “Her powerful programming slate has led to significant audience growth for the network resulting in LMN’s placement among the top 25 networks for women.”

 In her new role, Fleury will continue to set the development and programming strategy for LMN, including scripted and unscripted.In addition to her role at LMN, Fleury will serve as a consultant on development of crime and justice programming for the flagship A&E® Network.

 Fleury has been with A+E Networks for over 15 years, and was previously appointed Vice President, Development & Programming of LMN in 2013. In this position, she created and executed a plan for introducing original programming to LMN, overseeing all development and programming, and serving as executive producer on all series and specials, including “Monster in My Family,” “Escaping Polygamy,” “I Love You… But I Lied,” “My Uncle is the Green River Killer,” “Footsteps in the Snow,” among others.

 Prior to LMN, Fleury held roles at A&E, where she developed and executive produced many of the network’s top-rated series including Emmy-nominated “Beyond Scared Straight,” “The First 48” franchise, “Parking Wars,” “The Killer Speaks,” “Manhunters: Fugitive Task Force,” and more. She has also developed and executive produced several series for the BIO channel, including “I Survived…”.
