Patrick Michael Strange AKA Kuya P is a Filipino Mestizo American Activist, Actor, Writer and Producer based in the Washington DC Area. Kuya P is currently widely known as a Host and EP behind several podcasts produced in conjunction with the society and culture website, The Nerds of Color and The NRW; including ShoPowSho, #SumthinOrNuthin, Kuya and the Kid, The New Release Wednesday Show, Wartime Allies and others. In other pursuits, Kuya P is the creator of the convention panel, "Totally Awesome Asians”, spotlighting AAPI heroes and creators contributions within pop culture and is a regular convention guest hosting panels and cosplay contests. Patrick is also one of the founders and organizers of Wicomicon, a pop culture event highlighting nerds of color that received national media attention by press outlets such as The Hollywood Reporter, SyFy, TheMarySue, Paste Magazine, Publisher's Weekly, Vulture and others having been put together in less than a week.
