TV Talk: Viacom Promotes Meghann Wu To Senior VP
MEGHANN WU PROMOTED TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, STRATEGY AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, VIACOM’S
MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT GROUP
New York, NY, June 8, 2015 – Meghann Wu has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Strategy and Business Development, Viacom’s Music and Entertainment Group. The announcement was made today by Dan Yang, Executive Vice President, Strategy and Business Development and General Manager, Consumer Products, to whom she will continue to report.
In her new expanded role, Wu will be responsible for strategic planning for MTV, MTV2, Logo, Spike, and Comedy Central while also spearheading major group-level business development initiatives.
Prior to this promotion, Wu served as Vice President, Strategy and Business Development, Viacom Entertainment Group. She played an instrumental role in a number of major initiatives for the organization including Viacom’s investment in Bellator MMA, development of television syndication and licensing businesses, as well as network long range planning.
Wu joined Viacom as Director, Strategy and Business Development in 2007. Prior to that, she was a management consultant at A.T. Kearney.
Wu holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and earned a BS in Statistics and Computer Science from the University of Illinois.
