We may be less than 24 hours from a new Fallout game announcement! The Twitter feed of Bethesda games sent out a tweet this morning at 10:37 AM EDST with a cryptic image of an Old Timey TV Test Pattern and the message “Please Stand By”.

Now this alone could be  taken as a simple tease, a reference to all the interwebs gossip recently tossed about leading up to E3 in two weeks. But then there is the link in the Tweet, which takes you to fallout.bethsoft.com, and that self same test pattern with a countdown clock. The countdown ends at 10AM EDST tomorrow, Wednesday, June 3rd. If this is yet another red herring then Bethesda is taking a chance of alienating fans and the press alike, but this is likely it folks. Forbes Magazine is calling it official, and there are numerous other web outlets that are as convinced that this is the real deal.

So what do you think? I have been burned on so much false hope, fake websites (like the survivor2299.com hoax a while back)  and everything that I am wary, but this one is pretty hard to argue against.

Check back with us around 10:AM tomorrow, and we will see if this is as big as we hope, or just another false start.
