Geek Eats: Founding Farmers

if you are in downtown DC, and in need of variety for food, you can’t go wrong with Founding Farmers. They actually have 3 locations in the DC/MD/VA area.
We took a trip there back in December and it was a good time had by all. This is a restaurant that gets pretty busy at lunch so I honestly suggest if you really want to appreciate the atmosphere go at an off-peak hour. The food is reasonably priced with the average entrée running between $11 to $20 dollars. They also have a meatless option for vegetarians. The menu itself has a lot of variety from your standard, burgers and salads, to chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits andouille.
I was surprised with the portions that they served. The serving for nearly everyone in my group was big enough to either just barely finish in one setting or needing to be packed for a 2nd run. To be honest, with the way some food is priced in the area, you would be disappointed if you spent money, eat it all and not be full. With Founding Farmers, expect to eat and be satisfied.
