It seems like Netflix wants to compete with Video on Demand services in a big way!

One of the huge early releases of the summer, Avengers: Age of Ultron, is rumored to be available for streaming on next Tuesday September 8, 2015

So, what does this mean for those who want it on blu-ray?  They will have to wait nearly a month as the blu-ray won’t release until October 2nd.

In a sense however, if this is true, it would be big news for Netflix as most cable services have, in the past few years, gotten the jump by streaming big movies before they become available via Netflix or physical purchase.

(Updated Editor’s note @ 3:55pm:  PCU has been trying to 100% verify if this is indeed true and so far, it’s a mixed bag and Netflix has not confirmed nor denied.  So my best guess is to check back next Tuesday and see what happens ~Aitch)

(2nd Update – as many have seen, AoU is not in the Netflix queue as of now.  Another source says that it may not be available for streaming until 2016.)
