Review Brew: Lady Killer #3

PCU_LOGO_ReviewBrewWriters: Joelle Jones & James S. Rich
Artist: Joelle Jones
Colors: Laura Allred
Reviewer: Ray Willis

The issue features Josie holding a party with her neighbors and friends while dealing with her mother in law, snooping around trying to call her out on her assignments but she shuts her down fast. While this is going on her handler, Peck, as well as her boss are going over what to do with her after her next job is done and the issue ends with her going after her target which you should read to find out what happens.

This issue has a lot going for it with this upcoming target that was shown in the last issue. The team of Joelle Jones & James S. Rich, gives us a really good book focusing on keeping secrets and asks if Josie is willing to fulfill her goal of taking out the target. The writing is good with the interactions of the characters in this issue, showcasing the various faces of Josie. She can be the sweetest person and become a killer in a split second which is amazing. She’s good at what she does and with her trying to divide her time between the two is causing problems for her with her handler which they don’t like. Her handler Peck and her boss have an interesting discussion which leads to some interesting developments. The ending was intriguing because Josie is reminded of what’s important to her in life.

I really enjoyed the artwork in this issue and have no complaints about it. Joelle Jones is an amazing artist and colors from Laura Allred are amazing as well in this issue.

I enjoyed this issue and it’s taking a nice turn to see what happens to our lovely character at the end. The writing is really good with the interplay between being a wife and a assassin. The interaction between characters are done well and the art from Joelle Jones is always good to see. Just two more issues are left in this miniseries and I am looking forward to the next issue.
